Getting to brazil
If you are flying and heading directly to Ilhabela, the closest airport is São Paulo, which is approximately a three-hour drive from the island. Depending on your travel plans, you could also fly into Rio de Janeiro, which is about six hours away.
For those with a shorter itinerary, a helpful tip is to book a multi-city ticket, flying into São Paulo and returning from Rio de Janeiro.
We recommend renting a car to travel to the island, as it gives you the opportunity to explore the beautiful coastline either before or after the Festa do Mar.
