FESTA DO MAR

WATER AND BOAT.jpg
WATER AND BOAT.jpg

“Mar”, in Portuguese, means sea.
But it also means so much more: the waves, the vastness of life… and for us, it has come to mean Michael and Roger.
Time flies, and this year we are celebrating 10 years together, can you believe it? A decade of adventures, laughter, and shared dreams. So what better way to honour this journey than celebrating on a tropical island, by the sea? It couldn’t be more meaningful.
Festa do Mar is our way of celebrating, a tribute to a love that flows, grows, and deepens like the ocean itself. And each of you is part of this, so come with us and dive into these special days. Expect sun, salt on your skin, music, plenty of food, and hearts full of joy as we gather to toast to ten beautiful past years and to all the waves still to come.

FESTA DO MAR

villa  siriuba

We’ll be celebrating at Vila Siriúba Hotel, on the northern coast of Ilhabela.

The setting is simple and striking — dense green hills that roll down into the sea, quiet beaches edged with dark rocks, and long views across open water. The landscape feels untouched and expansive, with thick tropical vegetation meeting soft sand and calm bays. It’s the kind of place where the horizon feels wide and the air smells of salt and forest

climate

December is early summer here. Days are warm and bright, typically in the mid-20s to low-30s °C , with high humidity and vivid green scenery after seasonal rains. Mornings are often clear and still, the sea warm enough to swim comfortably. In the afternoons, short tropical showers can roll in — dramatic, heavy, and usually brief — before the sky clears again for golden evening light.

It’s a time of lush growth, warm ocean water, and long, light-filled days — a natural backdrop that feels relaxed, alive, and quietly beautiful.

ilhabela

is an island off the coast of São Paulo, known for its dramatic meeting of mountain and sea. Much of the island is protected Atlantic rainforest, with steep green peaks, waterfalls, and dense tropical vegetation running down to quiet beaches and clear water.

The coastline shifts between long sandy stretches and small coves framed by dark rock and forest. Inland, there are jungle trails, rivers, and views that open suddenly onto the ocean.

In December, early summer brings warm temperatures, high humidity, and frequent bursts of tropical rain that keep the landscape intensely green. The sea is warm, the light is strong, and the atmosphere feels relaxed and natural — more defined by landscape and climate than by development.
